Partnering with Parents at St Senan’s

Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent-Teacher Association plays a key role in fostering a strong partnership between families and the school. Our PTA works closely with staff to support school initiatives, fundraise for educational resources, and organize events that enhance the school experience for all students.

Key Activities:

  • Fundraising events to support classroom resources and extracurricular programs

  • Organizing family-friendly activities such as fairs, sports days, and school concerts

  • Providing a forum for parents to share ideas and collaborate with staff

How to Get Involved:
All parents are welcome to join the PTA. Your participation helps strengthen our school community and provides valuable support for student learning and wellbeing. Meetings are held regularly, and updates are shared via newsletters and the school website

Parents Resources

We provide a variety of resources to help parents support their child’s learning and development both at school and at home.

Resources Available:

  • Newsletters: Monthly newsletters keep parents informed about upcoming events, student achievements, and important school updates

  • Homework Guides: Tips and suggestions to help children complete homework effectively

  • Learning Support: Resources and advice for students who may need extra assistance in certain subjects

  • Wellbeing Tips: Guidance on supporting children’s emotional and social development

Digital Access:
Many of these resources are available on our website, allowing parents to access information easily from home.

School Policies

Clear communication about school policies ensures parents understand expectations and procedures. At St Senan’s, we provide detailed information on policies related to attendance, behaviour, homework, and uniforms.

Student Reports:
Student progress is assessed regularly and shared with parents through termly reports. Reports provide information on academic progress, social skills, and participation in school activities. They are designed to celebrate achievements and highlight areas for improvement.

Parent-Teacher Meetings:
We encourage regular meetings between parents and teachers to discuss student progress, address questions, and create plans to support learning.

Access to Policies:
All school policies are available online and in printed format, making it easy for parents to review and understand the rules and expectations that guide student life at St Senan’s.
